HPDPU-DPU
The High Performance Data Processing Unit (HPDPU) is a compact, modular computing platform tailored for space applications, handling high data rate products from payloads or onboard storage. It features a radiation-tolerant Kintex Ultrascale FPGA for reliable, high-performance operations and supports extensive data processing tasks such as image processing and AI/ML. The unit includes high-speed DDR3 SDRAM and can be expanded via a mezzanine interface to add functionalities like RF frontends or additional storage options. Key specifications include multiple high-speed SerDes interfaces, a user capacity of 256 MiByte NOR Flash and 8 GiByte DDR3 SDRAM, and a power consumption of less than 15 W. The HPDPU operates effectively within a temperature range of 0°C to +70°C and has a radiation tolerance of up to 20 kRad, making it well-suited for demanding environments in space missions.
