About us
Werum Software & Systems AG has a workforce of over 140 employees and is one of the largest independent employers for IT professionals in Germany. For more than 50 years Werum has been implementing sophisticated software and systems for customers all over the world, among them many renowned companies from the automotive and aerospace industry as well as scientific institutions and public authorities.
Our activities focus on the support of customer-specific processes in the core areas of earth observation, test data and information management, eGovernment and enterprise information management. The software solutions are based on platforms specially developed for these areas.
In the field of earth observation, we provide highly complex solutions to process, archive and disseminate valuable payload data, among others of Copernicus Sentinel satellites and Earth Explorer missions of ESA like SWARM, EarthCARE or Biomass.

Products & Services
Werum Software & Systems AG has a long track record of software development for payload data management and processing in various national and international earth observation missions. Our software solutions take care of the acquisition, cataloguing and archiving of data and provide user portals and systematic processing.
In the frame of the Copernicus programme, we have developed various components for the Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-3 PDGS systems, including on-premise just like cloud-deployed solutions. We are operating a Copernicus long-term archive on German cloud infrastructure and are part of a consortium to develop the CSC Reference System for data processing.
Some of the Earth Explorer missions of ESA rely on our processing software, such as the SWARM mission or the upcoming EarthCARE and Biomass ground segments. Our solutions also support the national missions EnMAP and TerraSAR-X/TanDEM-X.
