Products & Services
Your mission - our solution:
Star sensor ASTRO© product family
Cameras & Camera systems
LiDAR RVS© product family
Space optics & electronics
LiDAR RVS© 3000 Product Family
The advanced 3D imaging LIDAR for rendezvous and docking: Acquisition, tracking and imaging of both cooperative and non-cooperative targets.
Swiss army knife for space: From approaching ISS to removing space debris – our RVS 3000 product family serves a wide range o from LEO to GEO as well as lunar orbit and landinger applications.
For rendezvous and docking to cooperative targets, e.g. ISS
For rendezvous and docking to non-cooperative targets and space robotics applications, like 3D
Point cloud imaging
Star Sensor ASTRO© CL
The rad-hard ASTRO CL star tracker from Jena-Optronik meets the specific requirements for the New Space economy in terms of cost, high volume production and performance.
All applied parts and materials are consequently radiation hard and latch-up free by design.
The unit is able to withstand radiation critical orbits used by state-of-the-art constellations.
It can serve as star tracker or navigation camera system up to 18 years lifetime in geo orbits.
EEE-parts level is selectable from constellation grade (baseline) to high-rel.
Star Sensor ASTRO© APS and ASTRO APS3
Jena-Optronik's ASTRO APS3 is the latest development of an autonomous high-reliable Star Sensor. ASTRO APS3 follows the very successful ASTRO APS and continues all well-known features while it comes with an improved performance within a smaller footprint and reduced mass.
Highly modular design is used to serve wide variety of customer specific interfaces to support all applications, missions and orbits from LEO, MEO, GEO, lunar orbits and beyond for deep-space missions.
Based on the heritage of the very successful ASTRO APS with more than 450 units contracted, ASTRO APS3 extends existing functionalities and performance while being more compact and lightweight at favourable price.
SSA Sensor Suite
Space-based Sensor Suite for Space Situational Awareness applications: The combination of sensors helps to generate new data products and hence information.
The Sensor Suite is able to combine the following components in a flexible manner:
Visual light sensing cameras with different field of views
Thermal infrared cameras
Laser Warner
Laser range finder
Agile angular platform
Space Camera ASTROhead
Multi-purpose camera with radiation hard design.
This compact and lightweight space camera for the visible range was designed from Jena-Optronik’s heritage from the successful ASTRO star sensor series.
While adopting new, state-of-the-art APS detector chip technology to reduce size and weight, maximum use was made of heritage technology. This guarantees durability, reliability, performance, and affordability of this versatile camera right from the start.
Typical applications are:
Navigation
Inspection
Orientation
Space situational awareness
Thermal-infrared Space Camera ASTROtir
Jena-Optronik latest development is a long wave thermal infrared camera for space application, which combines compactness and image correction capabilities with long lifetimes (> 6 years) in geostationary and lower orbits.
The ASTROtir camera is designed for special space based application. Among these are:
Relative navigation e.g. Formation Flying of satellite constellations, Approach and docking to a space object or satellite
Inspection of near satellite objects
Surveillance of satellite surroundings
Image generation for various applications e.g. Earth Observation, Detection of hot objects in Earth’s atmosphere of on its Ground
Space Camera ASTRO© CL Cam
Multi-purpose space observation camera.
Jena-Optronik’s rad-hard ASTRO CL Cam is an all-rounder space camera for all Space Situational Awareness (SSA) applications onboard your satellite and even beyond:
Spacecraft servicing and docking with non-standard interfaces
Space object and debris observation
Robotic inspection or in-orbit assembly
Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT)
Augmentation / machine learning
Multi-purpose camera via a wide range of software application for flexible satellite missions
