f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS designs, develops and produces avionics equipment and subsystem solutions in the areas of communication, navigation and displays.

About us

f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS is active in the field of satellite navigation and can draw on extensive system level knowledge as well as practical experience in many application areas.

For augmentation systems in world-wide use we develop subsystems for the respective ground infrastructure. We have supplied equipment and components to several space system companies including Airbus Defence & Space, Thales Alenia Space and ESA in the frame of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) since 2000. These developments were performed according to demanding design assurance levels (DAL-B and DAL-C) on the basis of detailed customer specifications and following ECSS standards.

f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS is an EASA approved production and maintenance organisation (EASA Part 21G and Part 145) with an quality management system in accordance to EN9100.

Products and Services

f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS developed and supplied both the Integrity Box and the Signal Generator for the EGNOS and the Korean SBAS Uplink Stations as a contribution to improve the performance and integrity of Galileo and GPS users.

We also provide Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for electrical satellite testing before launch. We can provide a wiede variaty of subsystem solutions in the fields of communication and navigation.

Signal Generator (SG)

f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS developed and supplied the Signal Generator (SGF) for the EGNOS and the Korean SBAS Uplink Stations as a contribution to improve the performance and integrity of Galileo and GPS users. The main function of the SG is to generate the L1 and L5 RF signals which are used for uplink of SBAS correction data to the GEO stationary satellite. The code and carrier phases of these signals have to be steered for time synchronization and compensation of signal propagation effects.

Integrity Box (IB)

f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS developed and supplied the Integrity Box for the EGNOS and the Korean SBAS Uplink Stations as a contribution to improve the performance and integrity of Galileo and GPS users. The main function of the IB is to ensure that no misleading SBAS data is provided by the GEO satellite. It compares the uplink messages received from the KUS SGS Core Computer with the downlink messages received from the receiver.
