About us

HyImpulse is a German innovative small satellite launch service. Our mission is to unlock the full potential of the small satellite industry globally through the provision of a responsive, low cost and dedicated launch services up-to 500 kg to LEO.

Our disruptive approach of using innovative and reusable hybrid propulsion systems enables major cost reductions compared to competition and enable the offering of the only cost-effective launcher in the market.

Our hybrid propulsion is inherently green using paraffin (wax) for the fuel and liquid oxygen for the oxidizer. In the future the paraffin wax will be produced from regenerative sources, making our it fully carbon neutral, thereby bringing significant economic and environmental benefits.

Our launch services will be provided through the currently under development 3 stage launch vehicle SL1. Groundbreaking economic benefits and effectively, with sufficient cadence bring the launch costs to <10K € per kg comparable to SpaceX’s.

Products & Services

Our launch services will be provided through the currently under development 3 stage launch vehicle – The Small Launcher SL1. It will have groundbreaking economic benefits and effectively, with sufficient cadence it can bring the launch charges to <10K € per kg comparable to SpaceX’s reusable launcher. This price can be reduced further by developing in the longer term HyImpulse reusable launchers. Furthermore, the cost of the Electron launcher of Rocket Lab, a HIT competitor is about six times higher, and yet this launcher is fully booked showcasing the high market demand. Launch contracts have already been signed with multiple customers for the maiden SL1 launch in 2024 as well as successive launches upto 2030.
