About us

HPS GmbH was founded in 2000 and with HPS Romania and HPtex has meanwhile evolved into an independent group of three sites with 70 employees. HPS Group develops high-end space technology and delivers RF-, mechanical- & thermal flight hardware for commercial & institutional space missions - on equipment up to subsystem level.

HPS Germany's three major product lines are:

  • Large Deployable Reflector Subsystems (incl. Metal Mesh)

  • Deployable Deorbit Sail Subsystems (for Cubesats up to spacecraft of 1.500 kg, for orbits up to 1.000 km)

    HPS flies onboard of more than 25 space-missions.

Products and Services

HPS Germany's three major product lines are:

Solid Reflector Antennas:

  • from 0,3 m up to 2,4 m

  • X-band up to Ka-band and QV-band

  • CFRP based or metal (for smaller ones)

  • Flight heritage: EUCLID, HERA, HEINRICH HERTZ, ESPRIT.

    Large Deployable Reflector Subsystems (LEA):

  • Our LEA LDRS-subsystems comprise mesh-reflector, arm, HDRM, thermal hardware and deployment electronics

  • up to 20 m reflector diameter

  • up to 20 deployable arm diameter

  • Flight heritage: CIMR (Copernicus, launch 2027)

  • We deliver also metal mesh alone.

    Deorbit Deployable Sail Subsystems (ADEO):

  • For Cubesats up to spacecraft of 1.500 kg

  • For Orbits up to 1.000 km (optimal 500-700 km)

  • 3 different versions available: ADEO-N, -M, -L

  • Flight heritage: Electron (2018), ION (2021), ION (2022), EU IOV (2023)
