Products & Services
Our compact, high-performant payload data handling units facilitate the handling, storage and retrieval/ playback of payload data, e.g. obtained by a high-resolution camera. The PDHU supports the complete processing chain of the data, from the payload instrument to the transmitter and is well suited for use with high data rates (up to several Gbps). The Command and Data Handling Unit’s main objective is to control the satellite flight segment. It provides plentiful processing resources for the space mission software, communication interfaces with the AOCS, payload subsystem and power subsystem, time synchronization and distribution functions as well as a safe-guard memory module.
The Instrument Control Unit provides the central processing element for the instrument on which the embedded software is executed. It handles instrument telecommand and control, instrument telemetry gathering and monitoring, radiometric signal acquisition and processing and additional functions if required.
